What better Independence Day news: Bilal Lashari's "The Legend of Maula Jatt" has won 2 awards at China's Jackie Chan International Action Film Week, per Dawn Images. Pakistan's biggest blockbuster has now claimed its place on the world action-cinema map.

The Fawad Khan and Hamza Ali Abbasi starrer was already the most successful film in Pakistani cinema history, and international festival recognition confirms that Pakistani storytelling (and Pakistani costume design, remember those gandasa-era looks?) is export-grade.
