Sana Safinaz's 80% Sale Is Over: the Same Suit Is Now 20% Off

Over the past two days Sana Safinaz raised the price of 594 items. This was not drift, the discount tiers themselves were reset.

Actual examples:

• Printed dobby shirt + dupatta, Rs 1,380 → Rs 5,519 (anchor Rs 6,899). That is 80% off becoming 20% off.
• Printed satin shirt + culotte, Rs 2,600 → Rs 10,399 (anchor Rs 12,999). 80% off → 20% off.
• Embroidered lawn suit, Rs 3,900 → Rs 9,099 (anchor Rs 12,999). 70% off → 30% off.

How we spotted it. The rise ratios land on exactly three values, 1.50, 2.33 and 4.00. Markets do not move that cleanly. That pattern only appears when someone resets discount tiers: 4.00 is 80% off becoming 20% off, 2.33 is 70% becoming 30%, 1.50 is 60% becoming 40%.

And the part that matters most: all 594 of 594 still carry a "sale" flag. A shopper opening those pages today sees the word "sale" on an item that cost a quarter as much two days ago.
