63 Prices Fell. Not One Rose.
The market moved in a single direction over two days. The average discount holds at 37%, and discounted stock has reached 35,960.
5 September 2026
Over the past two days our tracker checked 11,652 prices:
- 63 fell
- 0 rose
- 11,589 held
That is a clean break from 3 September, when Sana Safinaz reset its discount tiers and pushed 594 prices up. Since then not one price in the market has gone up.
Where the market stands:
| Discounted | 34,637 → 35,960 |
| At 50% off or deeper | 11,668 → 10,780 |
| Average genuine discount | 37% → 37% |
Two numbers are moving in opposite directions: discounted stock is growing (34,637 → 35,960) while deeply discounted stock is shrinking (11,668 → 10,780). That combination means the deep-cut items are selling, and newer stock at shallower discounts is taking their place.
It is the exact inverse of mid-August, when half-price stock sat unmoved for days.
Today's limits: Laam (97 hours), Khaadi (71) and Sapphire (29) are all stale, so none of the three carries a claim today. They are three of the largest brands, which means today's figures describe a smaller slice of the market than usual — worth remembering when comparing against the days either side.
