The Market Froze: 22 Brands, 24 Hours, One Price Moved
Our tracker watches 22 brands every hour. Over the last 24 it recorded 1,740 prices — and 1,739 of them were completely unchanged. One moved, and it went up.
20 August 2026
Today's figure says it on its own: in the last 24 hours, exactly one price changed across the entire Pakistani fashion market we track.
Our tracker logged 1,740 prices across 22 brands in that window. 1,739 were identical to what they had been. The one that moved was a pair of earrings on Laam, which went from Rs 1,280 to Rs 2,133 — not down. Up.
And to be clear: this is not a data gap. Two days ago we published that our own Khaadi and Sapphire scrapers had gone stale and were distorting the numbers. So today we checked first — all 22 brands are half an hour fresh. The data is current. The market really has stopped.
Everything else says the same:
- Discounted items: 60,696
- Average genuine discount: 41% — a fifth consecutive day
- At 50% off or deeper: 22,677 items
What it means: the Azadi sale is finished. What is still cheap has simply been left cheap — nobody is cutting further, and nobody is putting it back up. The brands have set their final price and moved on to the new season.
