Cambric tops the sellout chart, 75% already out of stock

You found the print you loved, opened the page, picked your size, and the button said out of stock. If that has happened to you this season, it was not bad luck. It was the market showing you what everyone else is buying.

What is selling out, fabric by fabric

At TrendCompare.pk we treat the out of stock rate as a demand proxy: what sells out is what people actually buy. Today we looked at six fabrics. Cambric sits at the top with 75% out of stock across 25,698 tracked products. Khaddar follows at 73% out of 16,349 tracked. Dobby is at 72% with 3,774 tracked, Jacquard at 71% with 10,052 tracked, and Viscose at 67% with 8,191 tracked.

Lawn has by far the largest catalogue, 57,045 products tracked, and it records the lowest rate of the six at 66%. That is still a very large share gone from the shelf.

What this means for your cart

Cambric, Khaddar, Dobby and Jacquard all sit at 71% or above. When the fabrics you actually want are this picked over, waiting for a better day is a risky plan. Lawn's lower rate may partly come from its sheer size: more designs means more stock to go around. Even so, two out of every three Lawn listings we track are already unavailable, so choice is thinner than the catalogue suggests.

The market has a visibility problem

Here is the uncomfortable part. Lawn dominates the ad calendar and the sheer number of listings, so it feels like the centre of Pakistani fashion. But the fabrics emptying fastest are not the ones getting the loudest campaigns. Visibility in this industry follows ad budgets, not demand. Sale culture adds to it: big banners announce discounts, while the pieces shoppers wanted most are often gone before the sale even begins. A sale on what is left is not the same as a sale on what you wanted.

That gap is exactly why we track stock alongside price. A low price on an item that is out of stock helps nobody, and a loud campaign tells you nothing about what is actually available in your size.

Before you buy

Do not trust the banner, trust the data. Open TrendCompare.pk, search the fabric you want, compare prices across brands and check what is still in stock before you commit. It takes a minute and it can save you money and disappointment. Check first, then buy.
