The Whole Market Was Silent — Except One Brand

Over the past 24 hours our tracker checked 17,230 prices:

• 3,544 fell — all J. Junaid Jamshed
• 76 rose — 75 JJ, one Zellbury
• 13,610 held

Not one of the other 21 brands moved a single price. That is unusual; on a normal day two or three brands do something.

Where the market stands:

In stock	62,091 → 60,136
Discounted	35,960 → 31,840
At 50% off or deeper	10,780 → 10,428
Average genuine discount	37% → 37%

The average discount has held at 37% for a seventh day. It has not moved a point since 30 August, and even then it had only slipped one from 38%.

What it means: the September clearance wave that began on the 3rd has stalled. The brands have set their prices and are waiting to see what the shopper does.

One limit: Laam's data is 120 hours old today — five days. It is our largest catalogue, and without it these figures describe a smaller slice of the market than usual.
