Gul Ahmed's deepest cuts are on winter stock:

• Sleeveless puffer jacket — Rs 12,490 → Rs 4,996 (-60%)

• Regular fit sweater — Rs 11,990 → Rs 4,796 (-60%)

Why that looks odd: winter stock is arriving at full price this month — and at the same time last year's winter stock is going out at 60%. The brands are clearing the warehouse before the new season lands in it.

For shoppers: if you are not precious about this year's design, this is the best window of the year. A Rs 4,996 puffer jacket will not exist in November, when the shelf holds new stock at full price.

Today's limits: Laam (97 hours), Khaadi (71) and Sapphire (29) are all stale, so none of the three carries a claim today. They are three of the largest brands, which means today's figures describe a smaller slice of the market than usual — worth remembering when comparing against the days either side.
