Image's Gemstone Collection Has Landed — All 23 in Stock

On 10 September we reported that Image had listed 23 suits — Amethyst, Onyx, Emerald — with none in stock. We said it looked like a pre-launch and promised to report when stock landed.

It has landed. All 23 pieces from the 9 September batch are now available: Amazonite, Amethyst, Aquamarine, Blue Topaz, Emerald, Garnet, Grey Agate, Jade, Kunzite, Lapis, Morganite, Onyx, Opal, Peach Moonstone, Pearl, Peridot, Pink Tourmaline, Rose Quartz, Rubellite, Sapphire, Sunstone, Turquoise.

Prices held

Rs. 11,990 to Rs. 20,990 — not a rupee different from the day they were listed. Eleven pieces sit at the top of that range.

One batch is still empty

A further 23 pieces arrived on 8 September and those are still at zero stock. Two batches on two days; one has landed, one has not. If something you want still shows as sold out, the likeliest reading is the same as before: it has not arrived, rather than gone.

Why we are writing this

When we publish something about a brand that could read badly — "23 listed, none available" — reporting how it turned out is part of the job. Image did what we said it was probably doing. That belongs on the record too.
