Today's clearest picture is the contrast: the old sale has frozen solid, one price changed in 24 hours, while new stock has not slowed at all. Over the past 48 hours more than 1,800 new pieces arrived, every one at full price.

One detail worth noting: among the new arrivals, lawn and cambric (388 items) still outnumber khaddar and velvet (108). The brands are waiting on the weather, the full winter range lands in late September. What is arriving now is mostly late-summer and transitional.
